Cash Applications Specialist
Responsible for the application of cash receipts, journal entries, resolving customer claims, obtaining the necessary information from customers and working with internal departments to find a resolution.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cash Application of payments received from customers.
- Will produce monthly reconciliations and status updates on assigned accounts and tiers.
- Interact with customers via phone, email and in writing.
- Take customers’ refund requests and credit card payments.
- Run maintenance reports, matching claims and credits as well as manual offset.
- Assist customers with Accounts Receivable questions and problems.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- A demonstrated ability to follow through.
- Accuracy and good customer service skills.
- 2-3 years of experience in A/R.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings regardless of audience.
- Must be results driven, and take appropriate steps to achieve goals while taking ownership of situations as needed.
- Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work product and demonstrate good follow up and follow through.
- Drives change and innovation by improving work product or process, and challenges established norms where appropriate.
- Proven ability to build supportive and constructive relationships within and outside of the organization; takes the lead in inspiring others to work together for mutual benefit.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively while also ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail.
Boston is the preferred location for this role; however, we will also consider qualified candidates who are based remotely within the United States.

The compensation range for this position is $55,000-$60,000. Salary can vary based on a number of factors including skills, experience, and location — talk with your recruiter to learn more. There may be times that you will be required (or requested) to work overtime due to the nature of your role or exceptional workload issues or special projects. Occasional travel is required.
